Hi!

It’s October. Somehow, October feels the coziest of the months —and cozy is probably my favorite feeling. December can feel a little frantic, November sometimes rushes toward December, but October…October lingers. And I hope I can linger with it.

Last month was full of football, school days, and the last remnants of summer. More than once, I found myself struck by the quiet privilege of ordinary days.

Being back in the studio more full-time has felt good. The pause of summer left me refreshed, and now the shifting light and changing weather are providing new inspiration.

May this month bring you time to slow down and savor the good and ordinary things. I agree with L.M. Montgomery: “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
